This year’s Giving Tuesday is serving as the kickoff for our End of the Year fundraising drive for all the Streetsblog sites in California. Streetsblog California raises about half of its annual revenue through small donations from our readers. This year, we cancelled many of our fundraising events because of COVID 19, but are hoping to make up the difference in the next month and raise $50,000 from across the state of California to support Streetsblog California, Streetsblog Los Angeles, and Streetsblog San Francisco.
If you are already sold and want to make a tax-deductible donation to Streetsblog California right now, please don’t hesitate! Click here to donate online or get information on how to send a check. If you need more information about an employer match program or anything else, email me at email@example.com.
2020 was clearly a year where many things didn’t happen the way we thought they would a year ago. If anything, this year has highlighted how decisions made by elected and appointed leaders impact our daily lives in profound and sometimes unexpected ways. With our very small team, Streetsblog California has continued to make sure you have access to important information about ongoing legislation, about changes at state agencies, and about how to be involved in or just keep track of the decisions and discussions that impact how all of us move around and how safely we can do so.
We can’t do it without the support of our readers. If you can, we hope you’ll consider making a donation to Streetsblog California so our small team can keep at it. In the coming weeks, you’ll hear more about how our coverage has impacted policies and projects throughout the state, and about what we plan for 2021. Meanwhile, we’d be honored if you’d consider donating today.
