OCTOBER 8-10: FINE ART EXHIBIT AND SALE.
From 10 am to 4 pm at Building 72, C.E.F., east off Prince of Wales traffic circle. Admission is free. Amazing pieces of art by up to eight artists working in a variety of mediums. A juried event.
OCTOBER 11: SENIOR CHOIR.
Carlington Senior’s Choir: Would you like a spring in your step and a song in your heart? Join us for the Carlington Senior’s Choir. OCTOBER 13: WWBIA BOARD MEETING.
8:30 am to 10:00 am at The Table Vegetarian Restaurant, 1230 Wellington St W (at Holland). Board meetings are always open for people to join in the conversation and offer a comment or new idea. Of course, you’re welcome to come and just meet other local businesses and commercial property owners, too. A typical meeting will cover area marketing, advocacy, upcoming events and issues of common concern.
OCTOBER 14-16: IGNITE! CREATIVITY CONFERENCE.
The conference, to be held at St. Brigid’s Centre for the Arts in downtown Ottawa on October 14 to 16, is structured to be more like a retreat than a series of sessions that participants pop in and out of. The Parkdale Food Centre is the food bank that serves the area bordered by Bayswater Avenue, Carling Avenue, Island Park Drive and the Ottawa River.
