SEPTEMBER 10: HINTONBURG HARVEST FESTIVAL.
On Saturday, Sept 10, from noon to 4 pm, at Parkdale Park (behind the Parkdale Market).
Rain date is Sunday, September 11. Fun for everyone: bouncy castle, break dancing, horse and trolley, apple pie contest and barbecue.
SEPTEMBER 10: FAMILY FUN DAY AND COURTYARD SALE.
On Saturday 10, from 10 am to 2 pm at Unitarian House of Ottawa, 20 Cleary Ave. Entertainment by Fumblin’ Fingers, Unitarian House Seniors Skid Club and Elvis (Paul Warren). Yard sale, bake sale, BBQ, children’s play area, silent auction and lots more. All proceeds go to the Residents’ Association.

The Ottawa Horticultural Society will be selling perennials, houseplants, containers, used garden ornaments and tools at its Fall Plant Sale, held in conjunction with the Old Ottawa South Porch Sale. Saturday, September 10, from 8:30 am to noon at the Old Firehall, 260 Sunnyside Ave.

Come celebrate the 5th annual Taste of Wellington West! Check out our great taste in food, fashion, and fun as 35 of our finest restaurants and food shops tantalize your taste buds with samples of their specialties. Over 50 shops and services are showing off their unique tastes! We’re featuring a big and shiny classic car show, kids’ play area, bike parade, street performers and lots of live music. And don’t miss local business owners giving demonstrations (like how to do a beehive hairdo), fashion shows and even a Tea Party with Councillor Katherine Hobbs on the back of a pale blue pickup truck! The HCA and WWBIA will be co- sponsoring the Fall Cleaning the Capital Campaign in Hintonburg on Saturday September 24 from 8 am through 1 pm. Registration the day of the event will take place beginning at 8 am at the Hintonburg Community Centre. A community BBQ for participants will follow.
