The Newswest contributor’s photograph gallery is a new feature for Newswest readers and its contributors. Newswest provides this space for both temporary and long term storage of pictures of local interest. Readers and website guests are welcome to peruse this photo gallery and vote on their favorites.

All photos placed on-line are considered as protected by copyright by Newswest unless expressly stated otherwise. Commercial reproduction of these images without prior permission is not tolerated. Non-commercial reproduction (where permitted) must maintain all copyright information.
Persons registering to use the gallery to upload photos must show that

• They will respect the rules of the gallery,
• They will only upload images where legal and where the images belong to themselves,
• They live in or near the area served by Newswest. (Ottawa/Gatineau)

If you have not contributed to Newswest before, but would like to upload photos to the gallery, you should submit your request ahead of time to a board member. That way your name and email will be on the list of those whose registrations will be pre-approved and upgraded. All other registrations that do not match the list of contributors or members of Newswest may be removed without prior notice. Only fully approved registrations may post to public galleries. Fully approved registrations also get more space for uploading.
When you first enter the gallery the default theme has its Register tab in the upper left corner. Click on that tab to see some additional Terms of Use for uploads or comments.

Spamming and Other Abuse:
Registered members are expected to maintain in their posts a polite attitude, language and content so that this feature may be used by all. Flaming, spamming and adult content is not tolerated. Pay-Per-Click linking in comments, images or personal information fields will get you banned. Newswest does not allow for uploading commercial advertising on its website.
Privacy Policy:
Registration requires that you; provide a valid email address that shall be kept on file, chose a username and password and answer a word test. Your username will be public so using pseudonyms is preferred. Your email address is not shared.
